The Scottish Wildcat is under attack on a number of fronts including:
- Threats to its habitat.
- Cross breeding with domestic & feral cats which could ultimately cause this endangered creature to die out.
- Being caught in snares which trap the animal, often causing great suffering and a slow painful death.
Please make whatever donation you can to help preserve these beautiful animals and help the Scottish Wildcat Association with their
campaigns. Donations are made DIRECT to Scottish Wildcat Association's Paypal account and is absolutely safe and secure. There is no maximum or minimum amount that you are required to give.
If you would like to find out about more ways to help rather than making a direct doncation via PayPal, click on the large image at the top of thepage.
Snares are thin pieces of wire used to trap wild animals and whilst their objective is to immobilise, they often cause extreme pain to the animal and a slow painful death. It is not just the Scottish Wildcat that can fall victim to these snares; all types of animals - foxes, badgers, otters (all protected species) - including deer can get caught in them.
PLEASE spare a couple of minutes of your time to sign the
BanSnares.com petition to have snares banned for the safety of ALL wild
animals, not just the Scottish Wildcat.
